IDF Export doesn't include via holes
I've been trying to export a Layout design as an IDF file and read it in to Solidworks/Circuitworks to create fab & assy drawings, etc. However, when we import the design, we only seem to get one via hole and the rest are missing. Any ideas?

Holes in IDF must be associated with a component and footprint -vias have neither...unless they are Free Vias. If the hole has a label beginning with ~FV it's freevia. Your other option here, if you need via presentation is to export the layout as DXF and integrate or lay-over the DXF into your pcb model. Ron O.
