Error: DRC0026_How to eliminate??

Hi All,
I am using Orcad 10.3 to draw a schematic.
After completion of drawing, I had run the "Design Rules Check" utility.
It shows an error for one of my comparator IC.
The error is as follows:
ERROR: [DRC0026]
This reference has already been assigned to a different package type.
Please suggest me the ways to remove this error.

puja,
this means you have the same component reference on more than one component, if you open the session log it will tell you which reference or references are duplicated.

puja,
when placing parts from the library the pop up opens and you select the part you want and it appears in a little window, next to that you will see
Packaging
Parts per package *
If you have drawn your symbol correctly the * should be 4
just below that is part, you should place part A B C & d using that.
it sounds like you just placed 4 A parts and re-numbered them

I have properly placed the A, B, C ,D components of the IC.Still the problem persists. :(
What to do?

not sure, just delete them and place again, see if that works.
is this stopping you creating a netlist?

Do you have another part in your design (perhaps on another page) with the same ref des eg. U1 ?

Hi Kevin and Ron,
There is only one U1 IC in my design. No duplicate part.
And because of this DRC error, I am not been able to generate the net-list. It gives error message.
Now I am going to draw the U1 part again.
Can you please tell me how can I change the package type from Homogeneous to Heterogeneous?The options are not active in the following path:
Edit part-->Options-->Package Properties-->Package Type.
I want the package type to be "Heterogeneous". But the default options says "Homogeneous".

puja,
you can not change a part once created, you will have to draw a new part selecting Heterogeneous at the beginning.

Hi Kevin,
Can you please tell me how should I select the option for new part as Heterogeneous?
Because while drawing a new part,there is no option present to select the Heterogeneous.
The default option says Homogeneous itself.
Are there any settings which are to be done prior to start the drawing?

open the library and select NEW PART, this opens a windowNEW PART PROPERTIES, at the bottom is multipart package, in there is parts per package and package type, select Heterogeneous there.

Puja,
the Packaaging you are talking about is a existing Homogeneous Packaging. If you choose this, you can only decide between 4 Parts (A, B, C or D). There is NO WAY to change the packaging type of an existing packaging.
If you want this as heterogeneus packaging, than you have to create a new one.
Check the "Help" - "Learning OrCAD Capture" - "Lesson Menu" - "Lesson 9: Making Parts".
If you going to ask a 3rd time "How to change a existing part" I won't answer anymore ;)
